  15. <p>     DIED. CHARLES MOORE, 68, architect; from a heart attack; in
  16. Austin, Texas. Moore, whose habitually frenetic, transcontinental
  17. work schedule amazed his peers, was among the fathers of Post-Modernism,
  18. the jaunty pseudo-old-fashioned style that became ubiquitous
  19. during the past decade. Among his influential works was the
  20. Piazza d'Italia, a 1978 plaza in New Orleans that features neon
  21. arches. Moore was scrupulous about designing buildings that
  22. faithfully reflected their settings. Sea Ranch, for example,
  23. a resort completed in the latter '60s, consists of plain, angular
  24. wooden buildings that echo their Pacific cliffs site.
